Samantha Ballard

Artistic Director

Samantha is the proud owner of the Bryant Academy for the Arts and is a Teaching Artist. With a passion for teaching, she has dreamed of creating her own school for many years. Samantha is a graduate of New York City’s Circle in the Square Professional Musical Theatre School and The University of Western Ontario (Bachelor of Musical Arts). Samantha can be seen in TV, film, print and international commercials. Notable theatre credits include: Evita (Eva Peron), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary), Oklahoma (Laurie), Les Miserable and A Little Night Music. 


Claire Mac Master

Assistant to the Director

Claire  is a triple threat performer with a passion for encouraging and inspiring young artists. She began her artistic career at an early age specializing in musical theatre and Shakespeare. Claire has had a classical education from The Ryerson School of Performance, concentrating on devised theatre, The Stanislavsky and Chekhov Techniques, clowning, and improvisation. She has trained with numerous organizations including the  Stratford Shakespeare School, the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, and The National Ballet of Canada. When she isn’t teaching, Claire spends her days as a Disney Princess and a yoga/pilates instructor. Favourite credits include: Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Hamlet (Hamlet), Peggy (The Women), and Rapunzel (Into the Woods)


Andrea Massoud 

Andrea Massoud comes from a classical theatre background, having trained at the Ryerson School of Performance. She has worked on a wide range of theatrical forms, including clown, mask, musical theatre, acting on camera, and has a specialization in Shakespeare. Some of her favourite roles include Beatrice in Much Ado about Nothing, Jessica in Merchant of Venice and Maria in the Twelfth Night. Andrea has been a teaching artist for more than a decade, leading workshops ranging from musical theatre and audition prep to improv, and devised theatre. She is currently working on her pilates instruction certification and cannot wait to incorporate it into her work!


Vincent Perri

Summer Program Coordinator

Vincent has been working with children in schools and workshops across the GTA and beyond. He has toured several educational shows, while also performing in a variety of plays and musicals. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from York University, with extensive experience both on stage and behind the scenes. He is also a filmmaker, creating original work and collaborating with artists of all backgrounds and disciplines. Whether he is directing, designing, performing or teaching, Vincent brings a great attention to detail and a passion for the arts to all that he does.

Jessica Dominicis

Jessica has been performing and studying musical theatre all her life. She started as a competitive dancer at Performing Dance Arts, training in dance genres such as: jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, acro, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theatre. After a 10-year competitive dance career, she started studying voice, and began her Bachelor of Arts degree in York University’s theatre program. While completing her degree, she has taken on various musical theatre roles outside of school, most recently performing as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray. Along with performing, Jessica also has a passion for teaching and choreographing, her most recent work being, Fame! Jr. She is excited to pass on all she has learned to her students.
